Leslie Bash is Honorary Reader at the UCL Institute of Education, University College London, attached to the International Centre for Intercultural Studies, and Reader in Jewish Education at Leo Baeck College, London. Having graduated in sociology and trained as a secondary school teacher he subsequently taught social studies in London secondary schools and, while concurrently undertaking postgraduate studies in education, gained a PhD. He has published widely, having authored, co-authored, edited and contributed to a number of volumes, as well as journal articles, in urban, intercultural and comparative education. Leslie is currently vice president of the International Association for Intercultural Education.
