Marija Bartulović is Associate Professor at the Department of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Humanities and Social sciences in Zagreb. She teaches courses on intercultural pedagogy, qualitative research methodology and gender and sexuality in education.

In her teaching work, she is dedicated to integrating feminist teaching principles into higher education and researching the potential of autoethnography and other qualitative methods in developing critical reflexivity of future educators. Recent research projects in which she participated focused on LGBTIQ inclusivity of education, spatiality of gender and sexual diversity in educational institutions, and dispositions of educational workers for the equity and justice oriented pedagogical practice. In the last few years, she has been intensively dedicated to cooperation with schools in the process of inclusion of refugee students. She is also interested in developing innovative, transformatively oriented pedagogical research methodology and integrating body and movement oriented teaching methods in higher education.
