Saturday and Sunday, January 19th and 20th, 2008
Two pre-conference days – half day intensive experiential workshops for those who wish to learn more about

  1. the implementation of cooperative learning
  2. the intercultural classroom
  3. intercultural education and social justice

Monday and Tuesday, January 21st and 22nd, 2008
Two days of plenary sessions, symposia and informal interaction.

PRESENTATION FORMATS
The academic part of the conference has been designed to facilitate three basic types of sessions:

Paper Sessions (1 1/2 Hours): 20 minutes per paper presentation
3 paper presentations per session.  A facilitator will be assigned to engage the presenters and audience in discussion related to the issues presented, such as problems posed by research design or findings, program design, etc.
Organized Panel (1 1/2 Hours): 3 presenters for each panel session
Coordinated presentations of papers by a team on a conference strand.  Each panel will identify a facilitator who will engage the presenters and participants in discussion.

Poster Sessions:
Interested participants can ask questions and engage poster presenters in discussion on Tuesday morning (January 22) from 9:00 - 13:00.
The posters are displayed for the duration of the conference. 
Appropriate for work that benefits from graphic display and informal discussion.  An ideal format for the display of student work. 

PROPOSAL GUIDELINES

Please submit an abstract of your proposal (see special form on this site)  together with a completed Proposal Cover Sheet by September 20, 2007 as an email attachment to Yael Sharan at: yaelshar@zahav.net.il

Notification of acceptance of proposals can be expected three weeks after submission.  All proposals will be submitted to blind review.  Please include identifying information only as requested.
