IAIE program organizers call for papers-strands register lodging maps amsterdam

Lodging Info

Participants are responsible for their own lodging.

Lodging in Amsterdam tends to be very expensive, and the city tends to have too few rooms available.
We recommend booking early to get an affordable room.

HOTELS

There are several reasonably priced hotels within walking distance of the conference venue (less than 1 km).

This is because the neighborhood is just outside of the Center of the city and less popular among tourists.

Hotel rooms can be booked through reliable sites such as Bookings.com and Expedia.com.

(1) In the 4-star hotel range, the upscale West Cord Fashion Hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk:

(2) Another nearby 4-star option is the Ramada Apollo Amsterdam Center:

(3) For those who have less of a budget, we advise the 3-star Student Hotel Amsterdam West:

Air BandB

There are also quite a few people who rent out their places on AirBandB.

Do be aware that Amsterdam is quite restrictive when it comes to owners renting their places out via AirBandB.

Also, it seems that some renters in Amsterdam rent out via AirBandB, while they have no permission to do so.

Sudden cancellations can be the result.

But AirBandB can have a very different flavor than a hotel, for instance.
